水族館の青い静寂の中で見せる、動物たちの飾らない命の軌跡。
その一瞬の輝きを記録する旅は、やがて水槽を越え、世界の海へと向かう。
Named after the Emperor Penguin (Forsteri), which endures the extreme cold, I capture the resilient power of life through my lens.
Here, within the blue silence of the aquarium, I document the unadorned journey of these animals.
My pursuit to record their fleeting brilliance will eventually transcend the glass, leading to the vast oceans of the world.
名前の由来と、命の尊厳
The Origin of the Name & Dignity of Life
M. Forsteri（エム・フォルステリ）という名は、地球上で最も過酷な冬を気高く生き抜く
エンペラーペンギン（学名：Aptenodytes forsteri）に由来しています。
地球で一番過酷な冬を、ただ静かに、身を寄せ合って生き抜く彼ら。その飾らない強さと気高さに、
私自身が何度も勇気づけられ、心惹かれ、命を救われてきたからです。
彼らのような「静かで力強い命のあり方」を自分の写真の標（しるべ）にしたいと思い、
カメラを通じて命の軌跡を記録する活動を始めました。
The name M. Forsteri is derived from the Emperor Penguin (Aptenodytes forsteri),
a creature that nobly endures the harshest winters on Earth.
Huddling together in the extreme cold, they quietly but powerfully survive the harshest winter on the planet.
Their unadorned strength and dignity have encouraged me, captivated me, and saved me countless times.
Hoping to make their "quiet yet powerful way of life" the guiding light of my photography,
I began my journey to document the profound traces of life through my camera.
青い静寂の中で見つけたもの
What I Found in the Blue Silence
現在の主な撮影場所は、主に水族館です。
最初はただ、あの深い「青」に惹かれて水槽の前に立っていました。でも、ガラス越しに動物たちを
ずっと見つめていると、そこにあるのは決して「作られた世界」だけではないことに気づきます。
限られた空間の中でも、彼らはただ真っ直ぐに、自分の命を生きている。
水槽の中でふと見せてくれる飾らない素顔や、野生の光を失わない力強い瞳。
その健気な姿を見ていると、自然とシャッターを切りたくなります。
Currently, my main shooting locations are primarily aquariums.
At first, I simply stood in front of the tanks, drawn to that deep "blue."
However, as I continued to gaze at the animals through the glass,
I realized that what exists there is never just a "fabricated world."
Even within a confined space, they live their lives with pure intention.
The unadorned faces they unexpectedly reveal in the tank, and their powerful eyes that never lose their wild light.
Watching their resilient figures, I naturally find myself wanting to release the shutter.
ただ静かに、待つこと
To Wait Quietly
私が撮影において最も大切にしているのは、彼らの「日常」にそっと寄り添うことです。
フラッシュは一切使わず、環境の光だけを頼りにします。彼らの生活リズムを尊重し、時には何時間も
同じ場所で息を潜め、ただひたすらに待ち続けます。
そうして彼らが警戒を解き、ふと見せてくれた「真実の一瞬」だけを、
大切にファインダーに収めています。
What I value most in my photography is to gently accompany their "everyday life."
I never use a flash, relying solely on the ambient light.
Respecting their rhythm of life, I sometimes hold my breath in the same spot for hours, just waiting patiently.
Through this process, I carefully capture only the "moments of truth"
they reveal when their guard is down.
いつか、世界の海へ
Someday, to the Oceans of the World
水族館という静かな世界で、たしかに脈打つ命の輝き。
しかし、私の命を記録する旅はここが終着点ではありません。水槽の深い青の中で見つけた
確かな輝きを胸に、やがてはこのガラスを越え、広大な世界の海へと舞台を移していくこと。
そして、ありのままの過酷な自然の中で生き抜く、すべての命の軌跡を記録していくことが私の目標です。
命への敬意と祈りを込めて、今日も静かにシャッターを切ります。
The undeniable brilliance of life pulsating in the quiet world of the aquarium.
However, my journey to document life does not end here. Carrying the undeniable brilliance I found
in the deep blue of the tanks, my goal is to eventually transcend this glass and move my stage to the vast oceans of the world.
And it is my goal to record the journey of all life surviving in the harsh, untamed reality of nature.
With respect and prayer for life, I quietly release the shutter again today.
